Baptist COVID-19 testing by appointment and on demand

Baptist Memorial Health Care has established two COVID-19 testing locations in the greater Memphis area. We give you the option of scheduling an appointment at our drive-thru testing center at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, or getting a test without an appointment at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, Mississippi.

Who should be tested for COVID-19?

If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms (such as new loss of taste or smell, fever, cough, difficulty breathing, repeated shaking with chills (rigors), muscle pain, nausea or vomiting, new onset fatigue, diarrhea and headache), or if you were recently exposed to someone who has COVID-19, you should be tested.

If you have difficulty breathing, call 911 or the nearest emergency department before going there.

Baptist has two drive-thru COVID-19 testing centers in the greater Memphis area. Click on the location nearest you for more details and instructions. To learn about other testing options, speak with your doctor.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis: Appointment Recommended

If you would like to be tested at our Baptist Memphis location, we recommend you make an appointment in advance. Doing so will ensure you will be tested when you arrive. If you arrive at the test location without an appointment, you will have to make an appointment before you can be tested.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto: No Appointment Necessary

You can also get a COVID-19 test without an appointment at our drive-thru testing location at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, Mississippi. The site is open 7 days a week from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

Baptist Minor Medical Centers: No Appointment Necessary

You can get a test at any Baptist Minor Medical Center. A limited number of rapid tests are also available at the Baptist Minor Medical Centers every day. You don’t have to make an appointment, but please call the Coronavirus Resource Center at 866-941-4785 to find out if rapid tests are available when you want to be tested. They also offer nasal swab testing.
